Break Week What situation will make Wano the best arc?

Wano is a failure because there’s no emotional bedrock to its story. Robin was the emotional bedrock of Enies Lobby, Ace was the emotional bedrock of Marineford, etc.

It’s very obvious that the emotional bedrock of Wano’s story was intended to be the scabbards. Ask yourself seriously. Do you care about the scabbards? As much as Ace? Robin? Law? Vivi?

The answer for 99+% of you should be no. So Wano’s story has no emotional bedrock, meaning the entirety of the arc’s story is uninteresting. There’s some really hype moments, but you’re lying if you say you actually care about any scabbard or the actual story of Wano.

There’s no way 115+ chapters of poor setup and execution can be made up for.

Good fights. There's still time for this arc to end a good one, given the most important battles remain.

Give me a great Sanji fight, a great Zoro fight, a properly choreographed Law and Kidd vs Big Mom, and then a proper believable finale and it can easily be the best post skip arc.

I'll forget a lot of the bs in between if Oda manages that. He fumbled big time with the flying 6 and the remaining supernova.

Not as hard as he fumbled the scabbards, the samurai, and the actual story of Wano-kuni

Nothing can redeem this arc. It’s too late for it. If we were 50 chapters in then yes, even 70 chapters , heck even 90 chapters into the story he could have still redeemed it but we are sitting at 120 chapters now. There are no excuses for “being patient” like what these fanboys always say.

Well, he really can't at this stage. When you take the culmination of all the acts, Wano has too much dragging it down. Oda can make the ending pretty memorable though and make Onigashima a worth while reread in the future.

He just needs to focus on the fights themselves now and making sure any character who appears on screen has a purpose going forward. It's totally fine to make Franky vanish for the rest of the arc if it means dedicating time to plot points still in play.

I'd say give Zoro/Sanji a solid 4 chapter fight a piece, give Law/Kidd something similar and make sure Kaido doesn't collapse like a bitch.

Ending in the next 15 chapters (Even less if possible)
Making someone important die
Giving pivotal infos about the One Piece at the end

With these 3 elements,Wano becomes epic!
