Break Week What sort of "great betrayal" Mihawk could have experienced and why does he and Crocodile "don't trust anyone"

I remember seeing a theory about crocodile's secret turning out to be about him being a former royal that revolted against his family.

Doflamingo will eventually join cross guild alongside hancock, moria and weevil so the "company" will be full of people who are either royals by blood and/or by title.

If mihawk is actually from a royal family then he could have a story with them, similar to doffy's that made him become a pirate.

Personally, i'm not a fan of the whole betrayal thing because it has been used so many times that at this point it feels a little cheap.

I would rather have mihawk's betrayal revolving around his life as a pirate then his past as a noble/royal.

I see it as Mihawk use to be a bounty hunter, and worked with a specific Marine whenever he went to collect his bounties. One day Mihawk scored a massive bounty, and when he went to collect, the Marine set him up, so he could either keep the money for himself, or gain recognition for capturing a high profile pirate. After that Mihawk started hunting Marines for this betrayal, in order to get to the man who set him up. Once Mihawk got his revenge, he joined the Shichibukai, so he would no longer be bothered by the Marines.

What if Mihawk and Dragon were both at God Valley and they left after being forced to defend the CDs?
Mihawk was already famous as a pirate by the time of roger execution which means that he started pirating as a teen.

I think it's more likely that mihawk was a holy knight and quit after watching the events of godvalley.

Oda did a very poor job on portraying mihawk as villain lol, the only guys we have seen him fighting were either bad marines or scum pirates then he trains zoro and keep perona in his house for 2 years for free and also wears the strawhat on that cover page...

Mihawk possibly had a subordinate who was a secret marine like Drake or Corazon and he betrayed Mihawk back when he had an actual crew which got Mihawks crew captured
What about crocodile's secret? What's your take on that?

Crocodiles secret? Don’t know yet. The information about him as all over the place.
Knew royal secrets of Alabasta such as the poneglyphs existence and what was on it
Is somehow connected to a revolutionary commander on the grand line
Was one of the first to be welcomed as a warlord

It could be something as minor as he’s secretly a royal or something huge like he’s a descendent of lily and that’s how he knew about the poneglyph

I’m going to wait till we know more about Croc to make any actual guess

I am quite sure that there are interesting women in his backstory, just like his antromorphized swords hint
Lollllllll, this is such a ripoff from katen kyoukotsu.

In before Mihawks fights an angel made out of light and beats him with a never mentioned before sword that conviniently only cuts light.

Jokes aside, mihawk is giving strong kyourako vibes with this one.

Big mom was a monster at 6... most top tiers were monsters ever since they were born lol
I find it hard to believe there would be a 5yr old knight, even the others who were shown looked like teens, but for a 5yr old to be there hunting people, even if we say Mihawk was as much a monster as Linlin was, that's still a stretch

I don't think so that's enough reason to go on a marine killing spree
