I disagree with the widespread view that the painting depicts the first two world, one on each side. Nika appears in both worlds, but there is just one Nika on the marul, not two.
It was painted during the Void Century, so it represents the second world only.
It was drawn by kids, not by historians. They drew their own time.
The other big misconception is that the demon on the left, with the sun in his hand, is Imu. The idea that Imu overpowered Joyboy and his allies is absurd.
When Emet released Joyboy's haki, Imu was shaking. This is not the reaction of someone who won fair and squair, against the whole coalition and then had 800 years and unlimited resources to get even stronger.
Imu is on the marul though.
There are 19 others behind him, carrying stars. 19, like the kings that founded the Ancient Kingdom.
He stands on an elephant shaped thing, maybe Zunesha. Inside of that thing is a ship resembling the Noah and animal pairs. Evoking Noah's Ark. Imu is currently flooding the world
Zunesha was Joyboy's ally, but comitted a serious crime. He carried Imu and his forces to Joyboy, not knowing they would attack.
During a great war, the world was attacked on the left from that winged demon, and on the right from the serpent.
All sorts of races helped Joyboy fight them. The humans, instead of fighting the serpent, attacked the rest of their allies from behind.
Imu and his accomplices killed Joyboy, hunted down the other races that stayed loyal to JB and declared themsevles god.
The demon might be that era's Loki. Loki is said to be cursed. He sees it as his mission to destroy the world. They have the same horns. Loki calls himself Sungod, the demon claimed the son. Loki ate a still unkown Devilfruit, maybe in his Zoan form he looks like the demon.
The serpent of hell that envolped the world in darkness stands for Blackbeard. He uses the Darknessfruit, and might get an additional DF. There is a serpent/snake mythical model available at the moment: Orochi's. He will eat that and then wreak havoc on the world.
For that dragon, that stalled the serpent, I see three possibilities: Shanks (as he will fight Blackbeard soon and lose), Momo (as he can turn into a Dragon and might fight BB over Pluton) and Dragon (due to his name, BB attacked his base). Momo is also linked to Zunesha.
