Controversial What was Kizaru's prior operation?

In episode 1100/ Chapter 1069 Akainu receieved a report about Cp0 going to egghead and their mission to kill Vegapunk, during this scene he asked where kizaru was and it was mentioned Kizaru was already on the way to egghead for another mission.

My question is, What was that mission? It wasn't to kill VP that was CP-0 Job they had no prior knowledge of Luffy being there before Kizaru left for his mission so he didn't come because luffy was there.

Was it to protect Saturn? well we all know saturn doesn't really need protecting, but even then isn't that just apart of an admirals job description? its not really a special mission.

So why was Kizaru going to egghead? this scene was kinda brushed aside and forgotten about but i believe there was a significant reason

The government wanted to get Vegapunks motherflame, seraphims etc. It was absolutely a mission. They just didn't plan for Kizaru and Saturn to fight anyone
