Anime Discussion What was the anime that got you into anime

I'd say in this order that I genuinely knew I was watching anime. Dragon Ball Z & Inyuasha were the 2 that really got me into anime as a kid my uncle had all the bootleg subbed version of DBZ & I would rent all of Inyuasha subbed from my local video store, then FLCL, Naruto & Samurai Champloo.
But really got me hooked that I can remember when I began looking for animes to watch would be LotGH, GTO, FMA, Death Note, Sword of a Stranger & Tekkonkinkreet, Welcome to the NHK, Black Lagoon, Evangelion I remember all watching roughly around the same time frame and went through a plethora of emotions and relatability, especially with Welcome to the NHK.

what I would say really got me more involved and broadened my horizons genre wise would be finding Oro Jackson like a decade or so ago when I had got back into One Piece and reading manga in general. maybe even longer i think the forum came about in ‘11 my senior year and i would visit but never had an account tj il i started making theories, wish i could access some of those.
