There was never an evil sanji, only complete idiots got baited into some narrative that never happened. All in desperation to validate their headcannons as to how Sanji is not complete fodder compared to Zoro.
Anyone with half a working braincell would instantly have figured out that Sanji never hurt the girl in the first place, theres no way in hell Oda would let him hit a woman.
Oda tried to trick readers into thinking Sanji would go evil, readers buy it and you find a way to see it as a hidden agenda from Sanji fans to force a comparison with Zoro. This level of obsession about Zoro vs Sanji is really insane.
It was never about whether Sanji was evil at some point, it was about whether he was gonna turn evil later. I personally never believed he would, but even though it was pretty obvious for everyone there was something fishy about the whole "he hit a girl" situation, Oda went out of his way to make readers believe it was gonna occur.
This subplot was an excuse to get rid of the RS but it didn't have to go that far, Sanji could have simply detroyed the RS immediately after awakening the exoskeleton as he was already afraid of turning evil at that point. But then Oda decided to insist on that, drag out this subplot then build fake tension with the lady and his dialogue with Zoro. So most readers concluded he was probably gonna lose his mind after taking down Queen, which made perfect sense. Little did they know Oda had just decided to waste his time and be overdramatic about something that should have been concluded in one chapter.
