Future Events What will be the theme of Elbaf arc ?

Fishman Island arc theme was about racism and tolerance toward others, Dressrosa about the superficiality of wealth and what truly makes people happy, Zou about the importance of loyalty and friendship and Wano is about not staying isolated and and opening to the rest of the world.

What will be the major theme(s) of Elbaf arc ?

I think it’s gonna have a heavy emphasis on pride and the defense thereof. Everything we’ve seen and heard of the Elbaf giants points to a culture deeply rooted in maintaining one’s dignity both in a fight and in everyday life - Dorry and Broggy have fought for a century over something they barely remember, Linlin was cast out for murdering an elder in a way not befitting a warrior, her affiliation with them after the fact fell through when she tried to substitute Chiffon for Lola when she was supposed to marry Loki, and Usopp’s whole MO is to be as confident in himself as the mighty inhabitants of that nation. Oimo/Kashi and Hajrudin gave us more examples of these behaviors in Enies Lobby and Dressrosa, respectively...I see this being a major focus in the arc that will likely be the last one before Luffy’s journey really reaches its crescendo. The entire series has kinda been a treatise on the importance of one’s will and spirit; having a personal code of honor like the Elbafians do would seem to tie into that quite nicely.

I also expect that we'll see the darker side of pride and of adhering to a code of honor. Linlin's flashback gave me the feeling that it was both a big strength and a big flaw of the giants.

Norse theme. Loki the King of Elbaf was Norse God of trickery.

So I expect Loki to be an opposite of what his race represents. While his race represents pride in fighting 1 on1, Loki uses trickery to win a duel.

There is also the fact that Lola refused to marry him and he looks fat in his silhoutte which matches most of bad antagonists who rely on trickery.

As some others have stated I think it will touch on pride, that was a big part of the whole Dorry and Broggy scenario.

In addition I think it may focus on forgiveness, especially if Big Mom or BMP's are involved. We have seen from her childhood that she was a kind person but didn't know her own strength and has some sort of medical issue that causes sever hunger/rage that also seams to cause a black out. The amnesia plot line showed us once more that she has a sweet/innocent side to her. She seams to just be a product of her sickness and Streusen manipulating her from a young age. Guessing Chopper and/or maybe even Vegapunk will help her overcome her sickness and "brainwashing".

Also if Vivi happens to meet the SH's during/around the arc (sure they will meet before the story is over and there aren't many chances left for such). Her and Robin have a very rocky past, I expect her to forgive Robin at some point.

Also just thought of this, bravery (which could go hand in hand with the theme of pride) will likely be involved. Directly involves Usopp's dream and he has a ton of admiration for the ideals of the giants he has met so far.
