Kaido and Big Mom will return. I can't see magma killing them. Their bodies are too durable and strong to be killed that way.
I believe both of their bodies were thrown out of the magma thanks to the explosion that occurred in Udon. So their body should be somewhere on the beach in that area.
Kaido will return to battle thanks to his awakening. I believe it will increase his recovery power, physical strength, is attack power.
Big Mom will return thanks for her awakening but it will be a lot of different. I believe Big Mom is in worse condition than Kaido since her body is not as durable as his.
Big Mom awakening will allow to draw life force from any part of her body including her cell. She uses that power to draw life force from her fat cells. That eats away at her fat cells and returns her to her prime fit self. She will be much stronger, faster and more agile. The power is similar to Choji power from Naruto. Choji uses his fat cells for power and strength.
