This is Oda we are talking about so there are only three options:

1. It gets offscreened but Law gets captured so that Oda can have both Koby and Law be part of the arc.
2. It gets offscreened but Law escapes somehow.
3. It gets offscreened but someone interferes and helps Law.

Second option makes that whole fight filler. If the only reason for them to fight is so that BB can get poneglyph info then lmfao Oda is more lazy than I thought. Spend 1000+ chapters of Luffy finding the poneglyphs and then only spend half a chapter of BB getting poneglyphs.

First and third option makes the whole subplot repetitive since we just had that exact same subplot with Koby.

It's no coincidence that Law and Blackbeard, two of the most premiere devil fruit users in the entire series, are fighting while Luffy is on Egghead investigating about the origin of Devil Fruits from Vegapunk.

This fight is important to this current arc and won't be completely off-screened. Law will learn some valuable information, Black beard will probably get the poneglpyhs in a cheap manner, and Law will escape regardless or the fight will be interrupted if the island they are on is inhabited.

tho I’m curious If Oda willing to go OD, an have Law try a bit of DF stealing of his own. This the perfect opportunity to pull a soul switch. These Mere commanders can’t resist Law hax
