Yeah I remember Sanji jumped in but he did it because Zoro was about to lose. Anyway even after Ursus shock and Zoro landed an attack on Kuma, he knew he didn't stand a chance against Kuma which is why he begged him to take his head instead of Luffy's. It's a loss no matter how you look at it

1 - Still recovering from Mihawk, completely fucked, even scared Arlong himself.
2 - Enel's DF was just broken, literally defeated anyone, it was the power of the Logia Pre-TS. Only Luffy could fight him because of his immunity.
3 - Zoro, as all the rest of the crew, was already exhausted by fighting Moria and Oars. Zoro was still able to achieve what he wanted, saving Luffy and the crew. I think that's a win in my book.

As much as I love my boy lucci I would also love if narratively in front of zoro he shows his conviction to kill luffy,robin,the crew etc and Zoro actually kills him, but ik I am asking for a lot
