Edward Weevil was introduced as a man with strength that rivals Prime WB. However, he was off screened by GB. We haven’t seen anything from him and I’m kind of curious to what role he has in the story or was he just wasted panel space.

What do you all think his purpose will be?

We already know from Wano that Ryo doesn't care at all about the lives of non-WG citizens, so he would have no problem with using them as blackmail.

It's kinda odd how Weevil seemed fine when he was being escorted away on Ryo's ship. If he was given the King/Queen treatment, I don't think he would be on deck shouting for his mommy.

So far, Weevils actions are mostly due to the agency of Bakkin. He does seemingly care for WB, but his mothers orders take priority.

He's likely going to be rescued by either Cross Guild, or Marco if he truly is WB's "son"/clone.
Honestly, if Weevil looked cooler and more like the WB, it'd be easy to see him as the new leader of the WB remnants. Though perhaps getting drained by Greenbull has made him more appealing.
