What would you tell your 9-years old self?

#35
First of all, little girl, I'm always here to protect you. I'm the only one who will never stab you in the back. I know you're afraid. No, don't deny it. I know you have courage, but you are afraid. Both of your classmates and your teachers. That's alright. As long as you are aware it is fear, you can overcome it with your courage. Take my hand, and don't let anything or anyone stop you from fulfilling your potential and becoming what you wish to become. Not even your mother. She is usually right, but she was wrong telling you being an artist is no profession. The future will change in ways your mother can't even imagine, there will even be computer artists. And no, if you created a picture on the entire screen and the program didn't work because the computer had only 1K memory, it's not your programming mistake. The computers are just not ready yet for your ideas. Wait a couple of years and you'll see, your program will work. You can be an artist, you can be a programmer, you can be anything you want. Other people's opinions are not worth more than any of yours. Put them in perspective and transcend them - to become what you want to be, not just what this world is trying to reduce you to.
