Aint Oda a fucking great writer... at least its good zoro didint get much of the backstory... he would of been ruined as well, now he and Jimbe are the only normal written male characters

I personally don't think Zoro needs a back story but its cool to have one anyways.

Oda focused on developing him as a swordsman..gave him swordsmanship flash back..explained Enma and Shimotsuki kazuboro.

Now Zoro is second captain of straw hats commanding entire crew including Luffy.

at least we agree on that, I allways said it was best that zoro wont have a backstory, and had fights with some zorofans when I said he wont in wano... It turned out for the better that I was right

Oda just had Zoro involved in too much shit..to many story lines..it is very hard to deliver on everything unless oda was willing to spend 80% of arc on Zoro.

Zoro is not impressive all outside of a powerlevel standpoint.

He has terrible character development and Oda fucked up any chance of solid growth now that they are away from Wano.

If this was a more battle based manga he'd be more impressive but 1 fight every couple hundred chapters isn't great for someone whose only job is to fight.

He's an overall garbage character. He's the equivalent of Gildarts from Fairy tail, or Escanor from 7 Deadly Sins. Strong, but garbage overall

Nothing, zoro is already amazing
-he is a pretty well written character, I feel like zoro is underrated when it comes to his character

- he doesn't really need a backstory to be likeable , its way better this way than zoro being blood related to ushimaru or ryuma

- he is the vice captain of the crew and shows common sense when required

-he got the most busted powerup in the verse ie. Conquerors coating which gives him potential to be on par with the likes of roger by the end of series

- even in wano, he has been amazing in combat against the worstgen members, kaido and king all of this while being a great vice captain on roof top

Conclusion: zoro is already legendary, he will unlock 3 black blades by the end and will become even more amazing
