I said the combo post-TS admirals, which were stated to be the ultimate force of the Marines is over the pre-TS Admiral Combo. What You're basically trying to argue for is that the position that represents the power of the Marines, Admiral, became the weakest, while Marines are recognized as most powerful in their history... and while all the other organizations upgraded:
- SHPs upgraded
- Warlords upgraded
- 4 Emperors upgraded with Teach
- BMPs and BPs upgraded their armies
- The RA kept on upgrading, with likes of Sabo getting stronger
- CP0 upgraded
- The SWORD upgraded
ALL the organizations upgraded... but the Marine's ultimate force, the 3 admirals... downgraded... EVEN THOUGH.... Tiger and Bull are coincidentally the strongest Zodiacs after Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac.
If you want me to do a GB vs Akainu comp, Im more than happy to. Though in a direct fight Akainu is a bad matchup due to the fire weakness (if its an actual weakness).
Theres nothing in the series that establishes Akainu as the strongest out of the Admirals, other than simply fan assumptions on his role down the line and strength projections based off of that.
Garp > Newgate is fairly simple. Monkey D. is top 1 of every era.
Prime Drake > Newgate, already made a whole thread dedicated to what I think Drakes future is as the Fleet Admiral after Fujitora.

They already know my stance. Ive stated multiple times already Fuji & GB > C3, just as Ive said Borsalino could be the strongest of the Admirals. They all acknowledge theres nothing that puts Akainu above them on concrete evidence, simply assumptive things on role.
Koby isnt the Garp of this era when it comes to powerlevel. Thats Garp's grandson who is a copy of Garp in pretty much everything.

- MF Akainu and current Akainu are the same. There's no indication that a 53 year old Akainu who should already be at his peak had room to grow more lol.
- Role parallels are very different. Luffy is a fighter, not a swordsman like Roger. Zoro is an ambitious person who has goals beyond just supporting his captain, unlike Rayleigh. However, Luffy's role parallel for piracy is Roger. Zoro's role parallel is Rayleigh. Roger is the strongest swordsman of his time, Zoro will be the strongest of his time both being compared to Wild Beasts. Luffy is the strongest fighter (non-weapon user) of his era, Garp is the strongest fighter of his era. Both having the freest style of fighting we've seen in OP-verse. Koby isn't out there laughing in middle of fights while whooping on people, you know who is? Luffy and Garp. Luffy will be the strongest "fighter" of his era, Zoro will be the strongest swordsman of his era, as Garp n Roger were before them.

If you're stronger than somebody else, it means they can't push you to round 8? Or the fight only went to 8 rounds because you unlocked a power on the 8th round to beat em??
Kuzan had the power to fight against Akainu for 10 days, that's it. Any battle between top tiers is going multiple days if there's no plot/story element involved. That's how strong the top tiers of the OP-verse are.
I'm not sure why you think a 53 year old man who has been training consistently and has been a marine for ages even in the golden era of piracy...would have unlocked ACoC at the age of 53, age older than freaking King Riku and Cobra....instead of already possessing it.
