Kaido's plot armor... Heck, you can even ask why can't Law just use Shambles to get Kaido's heart... Same reason why Nami and Brook were booted out of Dressrosa (Nami can nullify clouds, Brook can freeze the Birdcage from deep down under), why Zoro, Usopp, Robin and Franky were booted out of WCI (BM will fall from her platform chasing SHs via Robin and Zoro, Usopp and Franky can take down some of the fleets from afar), and why Jinbe was booted out on WCI-Wano (Sunny would sail smoothly to Wano with Jinbe and won't meet Tama)...
