Honestly giving the timing, this seems most likely/logical too.

Onis are a subset/tribe of Ancient Giants too, so she is still missing one unique race at least or is meant to be anyway? If Kuma really is a new race, that solves it then potentially.

The third race could be rare or even is assumed extinct by most people, but I never saw a panel when BM said that the third race was extinct.

As far as I know, in this panel, the supposed extinct race was King's race. She didn't mean the third race, it is King's race that she supposed already extinct.

her statement is not clear, but because she already knows about King existence she won't say something like that about Lunarians, however if she means Kuma's race, then that means she doesn't know that Kuma belongs to that supposed extinct race which makes more sense
