Personally I think it has a strong start and had a pretty promising setup, having the cast size be pretty small compared to Wano or Dressrosa with Vegapunk technically being the only new character introduced paid off alot, especially since most of the interesting members of the supporting cast for the arc aren't actually on the island, they're off fighting somewhere else and having their own developments. This is probably the arc's strongest feature, and unfortunately ten times more interesting than the main plot with York or anything involving the Seraphim. Hell I don't even think Oda gave a fuck about that plotline since he just wraps it up super fast after we see all the events outside of Egghead
Oda handles Kizaru fighting Luffy in a pretty boring fashion with Kizaru not giving a fuck about fighting him and with a pretty anticlimactic ending just to steer the plot toward Bonney and Kuma. The "fight", if you even wanna call it that was not good at all and it didn't help that chapters around there were released pretty slowly
I think the Kuma flashback is pretty good... but its a slog to read in a weekly format, especially those last two chapters of it where most of it is just retreading old events but with Kuma's POV. Also making King Beccori come back three times is a little too ridiculous, they really couldn't jail that fucker the first time around?
Coming off of the pretty slow backstory with a payoff (good) then a pretty shit chapter where most of the characters are just floundering about sucks gorilla dick. Still looking forward any character developments with Kizaru, as he's way more interesting than Saturn atm.
Egghead is not an awful arc but the main plot is pretty weak imo
