At what point do you deem it justified to give up on your own life?

Should humans always have the privilege to choose what they do with their own bodies as long as it doesn’t physically harm others?

Are governments justified in trying to keep their citizens alive at all cost? (even against that citizen’s wishes) Or do governments only want to keep the average worthless (self admitted) human alive to continue working?

Legally? I think people who are suffering from terrible illnesses should have the right to get a medically assisted suicide. Also old people and anyone serving a life sentence in prison.

Morally? I think very few people can morally commit suicide.

Because most people have moral responsibilities to others. Responsibility to your parents, wife, children, etc. And even if you don’t have any of those responsibilities, you still have a responsibility to your society. To put in some effort to make the world a better place.

Only if one’s illness is beyond painful and doesn’t have any treatment nor cure to ease up the pain.

This or you’re an ancient Roman general who lost a battle, you would rather die than live in complete shame.
