Questions & Mysteries When making an imaginary battle btw charactesr what do you do?

When making an imaginary battle between 2 characters how do you determine the difficulty, do you imagine the stronger guy going all out or do you imagine the fight to play out like similar fights in one piece.

For example Oda as shown in the manga that fluffy can't neg diff lucci (fluffy was toying around and did not use advcoc) however if luffy was going all out he would, so if you were to create an imaginary fight between fluffy and lucci which version of fluffy would you use ( all out or canon behaviour). Another example is all out kaido would neg diff roof top 5 but canon kaido and bigmom couldn't even low diff them

Yes we always think about all out but in reallity characters doesn't work like that and would't ne that easy of a fight as we expect.

If you only want to gauge their power and nothing else, make the characters bloodlusted.

I always think of the first moves they could make, what moves could one-shot whi and who has the most endurance.
