Questions & Mysteries Where did Oden get his Prophecy from and what is the implication of that?

Since Oden was very confident in stating that there would be a giant war in 20 years and the protagonist(s) will rise to participate in this war, I guess he truly believed it.

So the question is, where did he learn about this? I see three potential sources:
  1. Shyarly: This one seems the most likely as she can predict things to specific dates. However, it would be weird that she prophesied all of that and yet, she prophesied Luffy would destroy Fishmen Island. Shouldn't she be able to recognize the protagonist(s)?
  2. Sea-kings: It was shown that Oden could hear the voice of all things and he heard some sea-kings discuss about the rise of their King (and another king). But the problem is that the Sea-kings weren't specific with dates, they estimated 10 years to birth and another 15 to grow. They didn't even give an estimate for the other King. So, how did Oden become so confident in the '20 years' thing that the scabbards were sent exactly 20 years into the future?
  3. Laugh Tale: Laugh Tale is stated to contain the history of the past written in stone. But does it also contain future events written in stone? I doubt it. Because then, the implications are huge. It would mean that everything in the OP world is following a predetermined set of events and people's will has no bearing on anything.
So, which one do you think was the source for Oden's info?

The most obvious source is Laugh Tale Joy Boy might have left a message saying he will return somehow,in N years which happens to be 20 years from Oden's death (probably that's why Roger pirates laughed so bad cuz they did a feat no one did in centuries and they did it like 0.1% too early like we learned the secret of the world , we found this crazy sh** and we can't do anything with it cuz we're just a bit too early)

If Shyarly gave such an elaborate prophecy, why did she become scared of Luffy so much? Shouldn't she be able infer that Luffy (or is it the whole straw hats group) is the prophesied one?

Beause she doesnt know luffy is the person she made reference too . I would say she has seer and she can glimpse into shadowy figures not really the people . So Shirley has no idea it was luffy back then she made prediction as child .

She clearly saw Luffy when Luffy was in FI though. So, she can see the prediction she makes.

Even then, Sea-Kings only gave an estimate (of 10 + 15 years = 25 years) and that was 26 years ago.

But Oden was very confident about the 20 years deadline.

they said another one in distance sea just check again 968 even the title give it away .

yh cuz he said it estimating the born of poseidon and somewhere around there will meet the other king and then is when they will be in the nw i believe thast why was confident

I think combination of Laugh tale info, Sea King and Madam Shirly prediction can be the answer.

Poneglypp or Sea Kings hinted about the birth of Shirahoushi in another 10 years to brith n 15 to grow. Plus they got to know the history of Ancient Kingdom and the requirements of 3 weapons, and Madam Shirley might have told bout the Massive war that will split The Ocean.
So combining the info he might have guessed it would take almost 20 years and the Massive war will happen after that. Hence he told Toki to sent the RS to 20 years in the future, and it was RS luck that they met SHs so soon.

Tho i wouldn't want Onepiece to follow predetermined set of events.
