Controversial Where the celestial dragons always this vile?

#2
I think if they weren't always this vile, it was pretty quick. like maybe their ancestors had somewhat of a point during the war, but had one point towards the end that cemented them as evil, like an extermination campaign of nonhuman children

Also if the national treasure of mariegeoise is related to the grimoire of imu that can turn men into devils, they may have made a deal like we saw the people of that island brook went to were willing to make.

🤔 that would be interesting if there behavior is a result of imu's influence over mariejose, it could be why after spending time in the lower realm Mjosgard changed for the better. He was able to see clear again and learn the importance of humanity

But we don't know who the enslaved were in the First World.

Many theorize the current CDs descent from those slaves, and this is just their century-long revenge for the abuses they were put through by now enslaving their old masters & their descendants.
It clearly wasn’t the celestial dragons that wouldn’t make sense lol

Well we have seen from the tontatas flashbacks that the don Quixote family have always been evil and brutal towards them.
So can we apply it to all of them? Maybe but also they are royals and we saw that most of them in op feel superior as they are brought up with that mentality

That’s some AOT plot
IMO, that's where Oda is going with the plotline. It's why we were shown during VP's speech that there are CDs who also don't know the truth.

The original slaves overthrew their masters and became the new elite. They held onto power as a means of preventing a new slavery crisis. But with time they forgot about it and ended up using their own position of power to subjugate others believing (or being led to believe by IMU) that this is their right (= they are gods) in response to all the pain they endured.

The AK's collapse itself could be tied to this, with JB's faction wanting everybody to live together in peace, while the OG 20 distrusted their former masters' descendants too much and thought they shouldn't be allowed equality.

I think it's a combination of: power corrupts everybody, being a product of your environment, and being brainwashed into thinking that you're in the right. Current MJ perpetuates what the original CDs may have fought against.

I thought Holy Knights were different from the bubble Celestial Dragon and had a bit more empathy because they had missions in the lower world...

The Holy Knights are worse than the fodder Celestial Dragons. They're psychopaths who enjoy killing defenseless people.

Charlos throws his wives away and doesn't kill them.
Look how Garling treated Shanks's mom...:josad:

He killed her and took the children.
The mother must have a special lineage; why else would Garling recognize the children of a commoner woman?

Imo OG Kings were Good Guys, but They were Forced to Sacrifice People by Someone,
Only One who Refused, what happened to her? Disappeared at Sea.

At First, those Sacrifices were a heavy burden, but imagine their Children growing up to witness that, over time They will change & embrace it, and eventually it can't help but become a Sport for them, just a Hunt for their Amusement,

Nefertari turned out to have become a D.
And what do CDs tell their Children if They misbehave? D. will come & eat you,
This clearly indicates that if you don't follow these Traditions, you become Endangered by D.

So, I wouldn't say that D. is the one who ordered those Kings to make those Sacrifices,
But it's Someone who can Protect them from D. and if They don't Obey him, He won't Protect them from D.

This reminds me of Dorry's Words when He was Damaged & said that He didn't receive Divine Protection of Elbaph God,
It's also similar to when Pirates believe that They must leave Offerings at Sea, otherwise Sea God won't let them journey safely,
Same thing was seen with Shandians & many others,

Imo it doesn't matter what any Side is doing or were doing, there is clearly a "Crocodile" Figure here in this OP World,
Someone who is Influencing "Everyone" & Oda will blame him for all Events & Suffering & Change in People,

Time for another question to get the brain flowing

Do you think Celestial Dragons have always been the way they are, or did 800 years of privilege and zero accountability corrupt them into the celestials they are today?
No it’s after Roswd graped Boa Hancock that the other Celestials became mad with lust and power to outdo their uncle, father aka Roswald.

It is possible that the initial royalties were not evil and the ancient kingdom were evil and tyrants and imu simply manipulated the 20 CD royalties to defeat ancient kingdom and take power.

But I will say they were corrupted given how oda typically writes.

I like to think that the OG ones were somehow good intentioned, and got corrupted over time but I fear that Oda’s allergy to nuances and low opinion of his reader’s intelligence will take over again, turning this potential interesting development into the usual cheesy, iperbolic and lazy caricature.
