Kuma? Even if surviving all that never giving up made him a gigachad, also that L should go to Dragon and the revo army.
Moria is another character I sympathise for (because of how hard he had it): beaten by Kaido, all his crew is killed, tries to recover from that by building an immortal zombie crew in paradise (aka nobody should bother him there), a random rookie comes and destroys his dream (also, the random rookie is the child of the prophecy), he is backstabbed by the WG for being "too weak" and discarded like trash, he luckily manages to escape and preserve his life, 2 years later his crew is scattered, he comes to know Absalom (one of his "commanders") has been captured by BB. He has the guts to go to Beehive and start a ruckus in order to rescue Absalom, "Absalom" welcomes him just for Moria to be sucker stabbed by Shiriu using the df of his former subordinate while "Absalom" is revealed to be Catarina Devon. Tl dr Moria is a walking L and you can't not sympathise for him.
Then there are a ton of secondary characters with ver sad backstories, Pedro too is one of them.

No it wasn't. After Sabaody, they were supposed to meet up in 3 days to head to the New World. It wasn't until after Marineford and the death of Ace, that Luffy changed it to 2 years.
And Ace didn't die for Whitebeards honor. He died because Luffy hit his limit, so he chose to save his brother's life, over his own. One can even argue that if Ace didn't go back to confront Akainu, he wouldn't have been close enough to Luffy in order to save him, once he did hit his limit. Either way Luffy was going to become immobile, and someone was dying.

Imagine being so corny and annoying that you can't even try to hide behind your strong partners and nearly get raped by anyone that dislikes you, despite being forcing your way into being the Shogun.

Debut as World Strongest Creature but then in flashback we finally know he won thanks to hostage.
Made Doffy shitted his pants but ironically among the 2, Doffy is the one having awakened DF.
Has a child that goes around cosplaying the man who made him PTSD for 20 years.
Claimed want to die several times but spent his times only either hiding in Wano or ambushing rookies.
Can't catch fodder rebels like Ashura Doji for 20 years.
