Let me start by saying that Oda does not do 1:1 parallels imo. There are similarities between characters and their positions and attitudes yet they are not 1:1 copies. There are two biggest hyped crews in the OP.
1. Roger Pirates
2. Rocks Pirates

What seems is that SHPs are going to parallel Roger Pirates (Metal 3 and M3) while BBPs are going to parallel Rocks Pirates (Xebec and aiming for world etc.). Now would you prefer SHPs to be like Roger Pirates or would you want the SHPs to parallel Rocks Pirates. Dont take the parallel to mean 1:1 similar shit just which of the two would you like them to most resemble.

The Rocks Pirates at least have some personality. Roger's bunch are getting downgraded anytime they appear on panel. At the moment, Crocus is the only sympathetic one. Roger has been done dirty ever since the Luffyfication process began. Ray was only cool pre-ts. Gaban turned into gyatban for some reason. People have expectations for the fishman and for the skypeian in Roger's sketches, but IDK if I need more elderly perverts/morons/straight Nika worshipers.
I'm more interested in seeing Xebec's entire motivations, Capt John's treasure, and the weird shaded Lafitte clone; even Ochoku would be intriguing, had Oda not fed him off-panel to BB.

In the end, it seems Oda is building the SHs to parallel both: M3 as better versions of Gold-Silver-Copper, and the SH crew as a whole as a group of overpowered individuals a la Rocks.
