General & Others Which Form has the Worst Writing?

Doesn't matter what form you choose for the other series outside of One Piece. Hell you could of picked Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan for goodness sake. G5 will always be the worse form because unlike every other form, G5's existence makes the World Government, the main villainous organization of the series, utterly incompetent, which imo completely ruins One Piece's integrity.

I think Oda can still retcon Luffy's devil fruit without making it seem like a plot hole or asspull. From gear 3rd and above Luffy actually uses transformation abilities of his Zoan devil fruit.

Gear 3rd, Luffy blows air into his bone to make his arm bigger and stronger. But it's not quite like that because air resistance would reduce the speed and pressure applying on target would be reduced, so the damage should be weaker than his base form. He may blow air into his bone, but his arm actually transforms into a giant's one which has more mass, more muscle strength, thus more damage. So this is like partial transformation of a Zoan fruit. Gear 4th is probably hybrid form, and gear 5th is full transformation. I think Vegapunk is gonna explain Luffy's devil fruit's true nature in the future.

Ah right, then my second statement stands. Sage mode was something others already had and not that impressive. The only reason Naruto was more powerful than them in it, was because he had more chakra via Kurama.

So yeah the writing was nothing special.

Agreed to this. Dunno why people thought Naruto writing was better even regarding power discovery or powerup lol

All one-piece PU are asspulls if we follow standard video game format fighting skills. which most shonen or even seinen follows.

This, it brings Luffy back to it's roots in terms of fighting style but changing the df entirely wasn't a good idea, considering he didn't explain fully either how mythical zoan awakenings work because Luffy can influence the environment/living things, if he's a zoan how come he can do that, we aren't explained shit.

And if Luffy's mythic zoan is the only exception to that rule that would be fucking bad then.

I have a theory that Luffy's (and Katakuri's) Devil Fruit is a fusion between two fruits (Gum-Gum and Human-Human Model Nika).
