General & Others Which group of antagonists do you think will be the straw hat’s final opponents

#63
Either Blackbeard or Shanks no doubt

This story ends with Luffy bucking his destiny and breaking the cycle, Imu is not the one for that story. Only Blackbeard or Shanks provides an emotionally compelling resolution.

Shanks has been playing 4D chess with Luffy’s entire life to get him to fulfill the prophecy found at Raftel. Him being the final villain is most likely.

Luffy will fight Blackbeard and Zoro will fight Mihawk. This means two things:
Option 1: Blackbeard allies with Cross Guild somehow
Option 2: It will be a battle royal everyone vs everyone so Zoro will go to fight Mihawk while Luffy fights Teach at the same time

Fight will be a 4 way, Akainu, Luffy, Blackbeard, Imu

But that is not the final fight

Luffy vs Shanks is the final fight, Strawhats vs Redhair Pirates

3 full crew matchups remain- GK, BB pirates, Redhair pirates

An elite section of the Holy Knights for general Strawhats while the revolutionaries get the common HK’s and Sabo gets Shamrock, Nusjuro for Zoro maybe he crossed blades with Ryuma in the past, one of the Elders for Sanji maybe Mars or Ju Peter, hoping Yamato still joins to fight Warcury (Oden vs the Boar) while Dragon gets Garling, Imu vs Luffy

BBPs is made up of fodders, there is no possibility of them being the last villains unless the Sh remain only as viewers in the last 100 chapters while other characters like Sabo take the spotlight. A battle royale involving Imu and other groups is more likely.

To call Aokiji and Van Augur fodders is a wild take.
The world’s best sniper wielding the warp fruit

Van Augur is Usopp's opponent, clearly fodder, perhaps weaker than Jack or Perospero, he couldn't even hurt that random from Law's crew . Kuzan won't face a Sh and there is a high chance that he will betray the crew. Also, Shiryu is a joke.

At EOS final battle, the strawhat aren't the only main force, RA and bunch of other prominent figures will play a role
Luffy obviously fight the big bad boss, either Imu or BB
Rest of the opponent for other SH is unknown for the time being.

If Mihawk is truly the last opponent for Zoro, then he fights.
If not, the last opponent for "WSS Zoro" would be a guy with a sword with broken/hax power, similar to King.......that Zoro needs to overcome even after he claim the title of WSS.
Sanji opponent will be whoever weaker than the opponent of Dragon, Sabo, Law(if he's still there), other important characters etc

WG only one that makes sense storywise and powerwise as they cause 99% of the world's problems. They even gained 7 seraphim + the Holy knights recently as an additional force as Oda likely viewed just admirals + gorosei not enough to handle all of the world.

The main issue is finding a reason for each strawhat to fight a specific character from the WG top fighters. The Gorosei barely interacted with anyone beyond Luffy and Bonney. Zoro vs Nasjuro I guess is kind of likely.

This arc can potentially create specific antagonists for them with the Holy Knights but a lot of them need to be saved for Revo army as well.

Some people don't even manage to read the title, you love to see it

I don't think that what oda going for personally
Oda made a distinct point that alle of the sh were commanders, as opposed to other yonko crew. So making them fight against a group with different ranks as their final fight goes against that

Which also why the bbp fit, they have shown a very flat hierarchy so far similar to the shs

Infact if I remember correctly the only one that ever show some extended loyalty to teach was Lafitte
I get what you mean with regard to crew having commanders from a perception stand point but I don’t think it changes anything tbh.
Regardless of the structure of the group the SHs face the crux will still remain the same.
As is usually the case Zoro & Sanji will fight the antagonist’s strongest subordinates & the rest fight a level below that (Jury’s still out on how Oda handles Jinbe but chances are that he conforms to the same pattern as those that came b4 him). Same will apply with the Blackbeard Pirates. Moreover the commander type structure is not exclusive to the SHs and doesn’t mean that everyone is inherently the ‘same’ rank. For example, WB has 16 commanders but there are still top commanders within that group that are a level apart from the others. Even in the Blackbeard Pirates there are additional authoritative ranks like Staff Officer so when the times comes Oda will make a clear distinction btw the top titanic captains & the rest. Hell even within it SHs Luffy has his wings. So don’t think the structure of the group ultimately matters.

BB Pirates share a similar structure to the SHs coz they are meant to be the foil of the SHs on the pirate side. In the context of the ONE PIECE & the fight for the Pirate King, it makes sense that they are the final opponents for the SHs but the story of ONE PIECE isn’t going to end with just that. ‘Joy boy is waiting for someone’, ‘Roger is waiting for someone’, ‘Teach is not the one Roger is waiting for’ then there’s Whitebeard’s statement to Sengoku before he died. Who ever finds the OP is expected to do something that both Roger & Joyboy are hoping for & it is ultimately tied to the WG.
