As you should all know by now, Akainu is the next big villain. His Devilfruit is the most destructive one. Kuzan lost an arm from fighting him. Luffy and Jinbe got giant scars from when they were pierced by the magma. Luffy will beat him, but at what cost? Will he lose an eye and get an eye patch? Will he lose part of his face, like Kuma and Whitebeard? Or nothing?

That fight will be Luffy getting back for his brother and for the physical and mental scar Akainu left. He's not leaving any other permanent markings on Luffy. It'll be an intense fight though and Luffy will need to really show off his ACOA (haki barriers) to not get scarred further, but he'll take the win.
With introduction to CoA and Barrier. That shit is Nearly impossible.
