Bankai and Domain expansion are abilities that users can attain granting them enhanced abilities and unique powers. Domain expansion is a technique used by sorcerers to create a bounded field with specific rules and conditions. Bankai refers to a zanpakutō's second release, we could also include Resurrección and Vollständig for the sake of discussion. Which of these two do you consider better from a creative point of view and/or which are you more excited to see being shown in each story?

Bankai can change the "appearance" of the user momentarily which is i like.

So technically i choose Bankai because of the "aesthetics".

I don't see how DE is based on Bankai tbh. They don't share any single parallel. Only the fact that they are the peak of their respective verses.

I think domain expansion is a cooler concept, Bankai are often not great.

Domains aren’t copied from Bankais, they’re not even remotely the same thing. Domains are copied from YYH (Territories) and Fate (Reality Marbles).

That being said Domain > Bankai.

Imo the only plain bankai were ichigos, byakuyas, and Komamuras.

But then we have Yamamotos, rukias, and uraharas which were awesome
