General & Others Which moment made you realize this character is your favourite?

A lot of other stuff has been posted. Although this is about character and not just fighting, here is some shit I love

So my favorite characters are usually the ones who hook me immediately. Luffy, Franky, Zoro, Crocodile, Smoker, Jinbe, Kaido, Yamato... even Krieg.

I dropped the series back at Thriller Bark because of the pacing. When I came back around the end of Impel Down, Zoro's role in Thriller Bark sealed the deal for me. To Luffy's credit first place was neck and neck until then.

I liked his intro when he apologized to the kid saying his pants ate her ice cream.

- Cool design
- Cool devil fruit
- Badass attitude
- Has pride in his profession, but willing to work with pirates when necessary
- High morals and values
- Isn't one dimensional
- Cares about his fellow Marines

Plus the scene below sealed the deal. If you disagree with my reasons, you know exactly what I want you to eat :catrude:
Man, I really loved Smoker in the first half of the series. It's not that I'm hung up on power level, but he's just become oddly irrelevant, like a Z fighter, when he seemed set up for so much importance.

Given his number in the popularity poll, the role he played in Stampede, and the resolved Vega Punk story, I'm sure Oda has a bit more in store for him. 🤞

Blackbeard's Dreams never die speech really was something else, besides that the way he acts is really how a pirate should act, i also appreciate how he's a character that isn't trying to brute force his way to victory instead he's carefully planning every step he makes.

Wano had me appreciate Zoro much more than I had ever done so. Although since the times of Enies Lobby and Thriller Bark he had felt like a superlative character.
