The plot doesn't necessarily demand it Chrono.

It demands Sanji most likely fights a calamity at best, due the Germa plot however. King is a different matter. There are several folks who could tackle him.

Zoro already shits on all YC-1's in power department. He is lacking in other areas but his feats are only going to get better against Kaido. Defeating YC-1 level dudes is no longer a feat that'd make Sanji look as impressive as Zoro though he may still outshine Zoro in certain aspects as a fighter.

A hit to the liver could knockdown anyone. Especially an extremely injured person like Sanji.

He shouldnt pass out from a very light hit like that.

It wasnt a light hit, It was purposeful hit to the liver to knockdown an already injured Sanji. Sanji in the same arc was stabbed through the chest, pounded by Absaldom and Oars and took an Ursus Shock. He was already gravely injured at that point. A liver hit would obviously knock him out.

Since this forum is all about Zoro/Sanji discussions, my first thread is about their impact at the end of Onigashima Raid (assuming Sanji dont get the Gohan treatment and fight a YC).



Zoro:



I believe that Zoro will have a big role in Kaido’s downfall, and when Zoro reopen's Kaido's scar he will be view by Wano Kuni as a legendary swordman, similar to Oden [my guess].



Oda has been and will keep focusing on Zoro’s attack power, since that is Zoro main skill, and we probably gonna see Ashura for the first time. I’m also a firm believer that Zoro will use Conqueror's Haki sooner or later, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he used this arc.



Sanji:



For Sanji I believe that a 1v1 against Queen or King would be a extreme diff fight, where Sanji would be out of comission afterwards [Zoro will be in better condition after fulfilling his role against Kaido].



Oda could use this opportunity to show everything that Sanji learned during TS [Hell Memories as his new “ultimate” technique would be lame imo], and the full power of Raid Suit. Oda portrayal of Sanji has been of a all-rounder fighter, so his attack/speed/endurance should be more balanced than Zoro.



Conclusion:



At the end of the day the comparisons will be like “Zoro=Oden” and “Oden is much stronger than a King/Queen, so Zoro is much stronger than Sanji”. On the other hand some will argue that Sanji fought 1v1 and thats a greater feat than participating in a group fight.



My opinion is that Zoro portrayal will be overall better, but Sanji fans will have something to cling to it.

With portrayal of queen vs nerfed BM, I think 10 queens are still less scary than BM alone.
While Zoro needs to fight two Yonkos even with friends.

In a very nutshell, it feels like 5 SNs vs 20+ queens (two yonkos), and therefore Zoro portrayal is better.

Meme wasnt really nerfed. She just wasnt using her DF. And her DF is the least impressive thing about her tbh. Since her elemental powers get countered or are not strong enough, and she cant take strong people's souls.
