In life, different person has different Starting Gate.

People could easily be a millionaire if they are Bill Gate children. I don't think these people are successful compared with a person born from poverty and become a millionaire.

For One Piece, in my opinion, Zoro is the most successful character among strawhats.
No devil fruit, no destiny BS, no scientific gene, and with ordinary parents. He is a true underdog who push himself to be the best. He is able to be on par with Luffy who had everything needed to be a pirate king since he were born.

In your opinion, who is the most successful character?

Warchief Sanji D Goat

Panty Anarchy!🩲

Franky?

He would be a millionaire or even a billionaire due to his technology which benefits humanity. Kinda like Tesla, Edison, etc.

Sanji would be worldclass chef like Gordon Ramsay and Brook will be the Michael Jackson of the modern era. Chopper also can be very famous due to his medical profession.

It depends on what profession the Strawhats would do in real life.

Like I can't see Zoro or Nami being famous worldwide or being rich because swordsmanship and map making/navigation is unpopular nowadays.

Maybe Zoro and Nami can be famous back in 1500s where pirates and navigating skills are very important.

How do you define successful exactly?

If you mean the person who's best off in relation to where they started, then I'd say Robin.

Jinbei. My man is from the ghetto in the worlds most discriminated race and country. He is basically from Soweto in South Africa or something and he made it to the absolute top several times over all by himself.

Still he worked his way up to
- top soldier in the army
- vice captain 80M
- captain 250M
- shichibukai
- yonko WB unofficial allied captain
- yonko BM official allied captain 438M
- yonko Luffy top 3 commander 1.1B

Close thread.

Let's see:
Luffy - grew up with grandfather and adoptive mother and a village that loved him and a brother who loved him, lost his brother.
Zoro - lost a friend in an accident, grew up in a village with friends amd a master and a family (assumption)
Nami - grew up with a step mother who got shot in front of her and spent the rest of her life a slave
Usopp - grew up a orphan but in a peaceful amd lovely village
Sanji - grew up mistreated and kicked out of his family , but was adopted in a loving one
Chopper - mistreatwd all his childhood, lost his adoptive father
Robin - literaly an orphan most of her life, a fugitive at 8, hunted by marine and everyone
Franky - orphan, lost his found father and got framed for it
Brook - not known
Jimbo - racism

And people are voting Zoro.

I have Nami, Usopp, then Jinbe as the top three. Those three were orphans and had to develop their skills pretty much on their own. Nami gets 1st because Usopp does have genetics and Jinbe had other fishman to work with.

Most of the crew had someone providing them training to get started. Luffy had Garp, Zoro had a sensei, Sanji had Zeff, Chopper had Kureha, Robin had Clover and other historians, and Franky had Tom. Brook we don't really know about so I can't say.

Honestly, I'd say Robin just managing to stay alive and eventually find happiness is already a major success considering that she practically had the whole world against her

Whoever voted Luffy needs to get their votes revoked. Literally destined to be Pirate Jesus.
Zoro's destined to become WSS.
Plus he's Ryuma's descendant. Regardless of how famous his father is, most of his family are famous daimyo/swordsman. He isn't exactly a nobody. Whatever advantages you and OP think Luffy has over Zoro don't exist.

Luffy didn't start out famous. He made his reputation before it was revealed who his parents are.
