Shiryu performed some kind of samurai gesture when he cut the Impel Down guards, he has a named Meito/Nodachi "Raiu", his epithet's kanji is similar to the one in the Uzuki kanji, a family of Wano, BB meeting Shiryu for first time in prison parallels Luffy meeting Zoro for first time in prison. Shiryu and Zoro are also anti-pirates turned pirates. Born on the 11th of the June/November.
Prior the rooftop feats, i would say zoro.
But it seems like zoro has gotten too strong too quickly in wano.
Even at his current powerscaling right now, which can range from somewhere between Marco and Fuji,
he should be able to take on Shiryu right now.
Zoro is too strong for Shiryu without invisibility. But it's a different story if someone as strong as him has invisibility. Given how dangerous he is even without his ability, He can probably even threaten BB and the other top tiers with his ability. Shiryu will be the one to force Zoro to reach new heights in COO department which Zoro needs to beat Mihawk, the man nick named as Hawk Eye.

yea i don't know what to make of invisibility. the only way we have to somewhat gauge it is by seeing how much improvement raid suit has for sanji's combative ability. keep in mind that raid suit doesn't just make sanji invisible but also grants him extra speed/defense. So we really have to see how much that gives sanji in a fully drawn-out fight. Although I would say that if it doesn't add that much to Sanji, then i wouldn't consider it a huge boost for Shiryu.

RS invisibility is far cry from the clear clear fruit. Invisibility doesn't boost Shiryu's overall power level but it makes him far more dangerous than even people like Katakuri and Marco.

RS doesn't literally go invisible unlike SSnM users. SSnM can make things other than the users body go invisible. You can launch surprise attacks by making your weapons invisible. Who knows, Shiryu make take it to the next level and even make his attack go invisible akin to Boruto's rasengan.
It’ll be a high diff fight regardless. Oda isn’t going to linearly power scale. Hell make his opponent stronger or Zoro weaker however the story works.

I feel like RS should be able to make the carried weapon invisible if it can make the user's hair invisible, which clearly isn't covered by the suit. Otherwise sanji would need to wear a helmet lol.
Making attack invisible would seem like something RS might not be able to do, but prolly only useful for extreme close attacks. Since long-range attacks would produce shockwave/object movements of some sort to render invisibility useless.

SSnM users can make anything they touch invisible even if it's a human. Turning an external object invisible is different from making your own stuff invisible. Absalom can make his bazooka attacks invisible until they hit the enemies so I see no reason why Shiryu can't take it to the next level.

I just don't see how "make anything they touch invisible" a huge plus for a 1 v. 1 fight. It would just tell the other person, "dude, i am right here, even if you can't see me".
