There is literally ancient text in Elbaf that depicts what will happen. Luffy is the child of prophecy, and became the very god that is Nika. It’s also implied that fruits have a will of their own, it likely chose Luffy and evaded the World Government. Call it fate or whatever, it was all according to the design of the gods. There‘s also heavy implications of reincarnation or something along those lines. “They shall meet again”.

Yes, Luffy overcame those odds because he was destined to do so. Not any different from what happened with Naruto, you can’t shit on one without shitting on the other. Both of them still worked hard and experienced hardships along the way.
Yes but Luffy never gave a speech about how your fate doesn't define who you are, and that only thing that mattters is what you believe in.Neji vs Naruto happened, and despite everything, Neji was absolutely 100% right, birthiright is the only thing that matters.
Luffy never bragged about being an underdog or morals like that, he just punches stronger.
Naruto forgives Murderers, genocidial maniacs, crazy people in the name of friendship. Guys let's be serious.
Naruto is a shit protagonist, in a manga that has great and forgotten supporting cast like Neji, Rock Lee, Gaara and Shikamaru.
Instead he went with Naruto who is an abysmal MC.

Rikudo Sage mode / Baryon mode Nardo wipes ass with Gear 4 and Gear 5 Luffy in terms of design and showing. I give it to Nardo

… oh you mean THAT kind of character? Prob the one who doesnt think a genocidal bipolar cuck is the coolest guy ever

Naruto

Luffy is not suitable for long series.. It's far more boring
Only thing which was his pro was he was prepared and consistent but that too is not the case especially due to a useless timeskip

explain to me how gon is a blank state character
Are you kidding me? Gon is the most blank slate of them all, even his morals are shaped throughout the story. Doesn‘t hold any strong beliefs, simpleminded, straightfoward goal of becoming a hunter. He literally feels like a background POV in long stretches like Phantom Troupe’s arc.

again reading issue. That's a severe misread of Gon. His supposed "simplemindedness" is a selfish obsession to test his power, constantly dragging friends into life-or-death fights just because he wants to. He's not empty; he's uniquely dangerous, driven by a warped, almost animalistic personal code, not a lack of one. Calling that blank means you're completely missing his disturbing, self-centered uniqueness that makes him anything but a typical hero or shounen protag.

Half of the plot appears because gon does some shit where he gets killiue and others in siutation that are way to dangerous or getting people killed cause his animal like behaivour.

Gon is an attempted copy of Goku

Man was describing Denji from Chainsaw Man, get the simpleton archetype like Gon out of “atypical shounen protagonists” discussions.
