Numbers are trash, Jack make it clear that the scabbards are far stronger then any underling under him, number are one shot material for the scabbards, I don´t see any point to let them fight the numbers.

Yes but the Scabbards are seriously injured. Denjiro is so weakened that he couldn’t even beat one of Kanjuro’s drawings
