One Piece fanboys hate the fact that Kishimoto is a better writer than Oda when it comes to write villains.

Kishimoto is a very rare mangaka imo. He doesn't shit on his villains, infact in Naruto you actually understand why people become the way they are their motivations, what led them to be like that etc. he also won't shit on the villains during fight. The man actually understands the importance of having a good fight in battle Shounen. The fights are very well choreographed

bruh you're still missing the entire point. All of the pains are fucking corpses so of course it's nagato speaking through his dead friend corpse. So it's nagato character speaking thru pain as pain himself isn't even alive.

Anyway, the Deva Path's physical design was many times superior to Nagato's, so while I like his character and his backstory (much more so than the worse Naruto character pre-Boruto (Obito)), his design is such a huge downgrade from what it could have been that it bothers me. Huge letdown. Great character otherwise.
