What's crazy too, is that Bepo surely told Law of the bond the Samurai/Minks have, and Law disabled Kinemon just until Luffy arrived. If that was on purpose, then Oda did a masterful job, because Hiyori's prophecy was waiting right until Straw Hat showed up.

Even him saving Luffy 2 years ago was due to "instinct". It's like he was waiting for Luffy this whole time, just like the Minks/Hiyori.

I like this counterargument, I can see Oda doing that and a lot of the minks end up following Law after the war.

I do believe the ones that were on Laws ship are going to join him and also Cat Viper and Izo will join Law as well IMO
When Law was annoyed the Samurai/Minks were following him, I immediately got Oden vibes. He didn't want them as followers in the beginning either.

The Shinobu/Oden/Law thing is also an unfired Chekov's gun that Oda is surely gonna fire.

It's very clear that there are 3 different characters who have shown traits similar to Oden and 3 different ways to look at who will surpass Oden

Yamato: Wants to both emulate and imitate Oden after witnessing his execution

Luffy: Wants to defeat Kaido, has CoC, etc

Zoro: Inheritted Enma and was the 2nd person other than Oden to tame it, etc.

Feel free to discuss which charatcter. I put 2 different types of questions, depending on how you want to interpret it as well.
Why is Law even in the conversation lmao?
Luffy is closer than him

His will went to both of his children imo

Momo -> with luffy helping fufill it -> kinemon being his scabbard protector

Hiyori -> with zoro helping fufill it -> denjiro being her scabbard protector and like kinemon he joined oden first
(I know kawamatsu exist too)

Yamato carries it too but will fufill it differently. Might be a big part in opening the country.

@sanjikun
Law recruiting the scabbards would be the best thing ever

I believe that Zoro is actually from Ringo, he looks like a descendant Shimotsuki family.

Onimaru will end as his follower. He has nothing to do but get revenge for Hiyori's sake.
Whats that got to do with anything ? You dont have to be related to someone to inherit their will.
We literally have a panel that says swords carry the will of their masters that fall in battle and the battle of wano vs the beast pirates is not done then a few chapter later zoro gets enma. Zoro carrying odens will is a manga fact.

I want to see a full zoro slash at onigashima, the wait is too long haha

It's gotta be Yamato. Inherited will isn't about ability. It's about being driven to pursue the same goal or wish of someone else. Like when Shanks told Ray that Luffy was saying the exact phrases Roger did. Lots of characters want to help Wano, but Yamato specifically wants to open it.
Wouldnt that go for the scabbards too ?
Especially when they agreed to just before oden died when raizo said your dream is our dream.

Oden seems to agree

Even yamato last chapter says someone has to carry odens will because she thinks the scabbards are dead

so even she thinks it would have been their job were they to be alive (and we know they are)
Yeah, I could see that and would be on board with that if Yamato hadn't just appeared. Of course his retainers will keep trying to fulfill his final order, but to introduce a new character who was a child at the time they "caught" someone's will, and has since devoted themselves to larping that person, seems like Oda means for it to be Yamato.

I have three options:

The one who closest to inherit Oden's will without him realizing that he's in way in doing it is Zoro??
(It's the same way Luffy to Roger)

Second option:

Yamato??? I know she's inspired by him and she idolized him so much? But does she really understand what is Oden's truly aim by heart? Is it wrong if I said what she's doing now is like a blind admiration toward someone? And why is she waiting for Luffy? Does she really need luffy to reach that? And why Luffy? Where and when does she know Luffy's name? (I don't need break this week ODA)

Third option: Someone who understand what Oden's truly aim the way Shanks understand Roger's. Maybe Law?

or Yamato if she's not blinded by her admiration toward Oden? I mean you can inherite someone's will without acting like him too much?

You can correct me all you want. Cause i'm not that detailed person.

Roger and Oden were contemporaries and friends, and they had different goals/wills. Roger's goal had to do with the One Piece, while Oden's goal was to liberate Wano and beat Kaido.

Law is the one who is spearheading the entire operation to overthrow Kaido. The Law/Scabbards and Shinobu/Law plotline are setting up something big. Let's not forget the ties of the North Blue to Wano too. Bepo got lost in the New World and ended up in the North Blue.

I mean how can you ignore this... This was SO obvious

Let's not forget Oden was a rival pirate who came to Roger's help at the very end.

It's obviously Yamato. His situation is similar to that of the Bison df user in drum island. He witnessed the execution and some magical thing happened that made her inherit the will. That said just like Luffy helped the new King of Drum accomplish Hilukuk dream/will he will also help momo/yamato to defeat Kaido and open wano.
Zoro is just another henchman in the end.
