Not only that, Sanji/Franky were literally shown trying their hardest to break free from Saturn’s paralysis ability the entire chapter with them only being released after Kuma punch that happened a chapter after Luffy got fed.

As much as I like the admirals and was actively defending Kizaru back in Egghead and Aramaki against Wifi Shanks, I don't think Ryo has a BB...having a BB and not using it doesn't make any sense especially since his Df makes him ''vulnerable'' (kind of like smoker against Vergo) so if he wants to be effective, he has to use his sword and if he wants mindless destruction he uses his fruit who has huge AOE.
We will have to wait and see but I won't hold my breath.

Gennai Aramaki was a great swordsman that no one had seen using the sword until a certain point, in Ronin Gai. I think Oda is doing the same here.

I think his real style will be him using the sword as main weapon since, BB or not, he has a sword and his name is the name of a swordsman:

My headcannon says its a bb that he can not control. Imagine gb using it but unleashing mihawks iceberg level cutting because he can not control the blade akin to enma cutting more than necessary when zoro used it. Hence why he uses his df which in itself has huge AOE, but has not touched the blade.
