Endless debates on this site about who it was that gave Whitebeard his scar. A more interesting question is: who gave Ochoku his scar?


Ochoku held Pirate Island for 40 years. Blackbeard; Koby and Law had to team up, to take him down! A man of god, who instilled this devotion into his pious and saintly, and very mentally stable, son Caribou. Who could give this exceptional man such a big scar?

I could see there having been some huge fight between the Rocks Pirate remnants over the ownership of Hachinosu after God Valley. Kaido versus Big Mom versus Whitebeard versus Shiki versus Ochoku. So, any one of them could have given him that scar. I don't know how he would have managed to beat and/or trick all of them off his island in order to keep it. But, luck probably could have played a part in that. Or maybe they all just decided it wasn't worth it and left on their own. Hachinosu might have felt kind of empty once Shakky left, anyway.

But, you know what? Let's give this one to Silver Axe. The scar DOES kind of look like someone tried and failed to decapitate him. It could be a axe wound. And Silver Axe didn't get to do ANYTHING in this flashback, really. So, let's say that Silver Axe gave Ochoku his scar. At least that would allow him to have done something, before likely becoming a zombie on Thriller Bark.
