It would be very odd if it's Yamato. It would basically mean all that running around was for nothing and a big waste of time. That's pretty much par for the course for the raid though.
All the running around was itself to delay Yamato until Oda was ready for her fight with Kaido to begin. She'll fight him with the intention of defeating him (not to stall for time), she just may not succeed at that.

All the running around was itself to delay Sanji until Oda was ready for his fight with King to begin.
He'll fight him with the intention of defeating him (not to stall for Zoro to recover), and he will succeed at that.

Sry. Couldn't resist.

I agree with the argument, just not that it is King that Sanji is being stalled for.

Yamato most likely.

Her job is to protect Momo and he strikes as heavily endangered.
Her desire is to fight and fight off her daddy.
She is not that far his position.

We have a compelling mixture of three imposing elements here.

I think it's pretty definite that she won't succeed. It may mostly be offscreened though because I don't see Oda dedicating many panels to show a woman getting beat up.

I don't see Oda offscreening Yamato and Kaido's fight. That makes no sense. It does nothing for the story, the narrative or either of their characters.

Vs. Kaido is also likely to be Yamato's big fight in the arc.

I expect something like Doflamingo vs Law, (only without the maiming).

Yep. flashback is very much needed for yamato, assuming she will be the next nakama.

It is obviously gna be Yamato. I am pretty sure Yamato is gna have a 1v1 and a 2v1 against Kaido.
You think Yamato will fight Kaido twice?

Yamato because Kaido can't kill her
We don't really know this to be fair. He did place real explosive shackles on her:

Whether they would have worked or not, Yamato herself believes that he was willing to kill her.

If Yamato vs. Kaido occurred I don't spot a sensible reason to off panel their fight. Nothing is impossible but this looks one hell of a contrived prevision. Expecially since a consistent hype was built over Yamato's matters with her father.
