I think Kurapika is written better (he's equal to peak Sanji for me in terms of writing) but I still like Sanji more

One Piece is my favorite manga and Sanji is in my top 3

I liked him a lot from the beginning (Hunter Exam, Zoldyck Mansion, Yorknew) but he became my favorite character in an arc that comes later

Chimera Ant needs preparation to read imo. Maybe a couple of days' break from reading manga, then allocate the proper time to read the parts so you can let the brilliant moments soak in without rushing.

Especially the climax of that arc, that's a worthy reread material every few years for me even now.

I can’t fully blame you

He doesn’t get nearly enough screentime or development for a main character

Always makes me laugh when people complain about characters like Usopp since I’m a huge fan of Leorio

At least Usopp is in almost every arc and gets some time to shine every now and then. Leorio literally doesn’t exist for 70% of the arcs in the story

And in half of the arcs he’s in he just does nothing. It’s unfortunate cause he has so much potential and is easily one of Togashi’s better characters when given a chance to shine
