I don’t think Law would have Kid‘s back in that case, but for plot reasons it seems lackluster to have this forced rivalry set up by Oda, and watching any of the three captains struggle against an admiral so soon. Somewhat repetitive if right after Onigashima.

Basically they can’t be an underdog forever.
