Depends on how wants to play It regarding Loki. Tag team? Luffy takes over? Luffy takes over and then final tag team?

Overall, they'll manage to send Imu away or at least resist until Imu has to go away, but I doubt the fight Isn't ending with some big flashy move.

It should be Luffy and Loki together vs Imu, but knowing Oda and how bias he is to Luffy, he will make it just Luffy vs Imu.

It's possible, though in that case I expect Imu to be wounded by Loki before Luffy takes over.

Or 50/50: Luffy takes over but then Loki comes back and the final part is some tag team and maybe a combined final hit like Luffy and Zoro's in W7/EL.

As far as I can remember, there has never been a single arc in One Piece where Zoro and Sanji get a clearly defined arc fight and Luffy didn't. So who is going to be Luffy's fight this arc like Super Super Sommers is Zoro's and Killingham is Sanji's? His Crocodile, Lucci, Enel, Moria, Doflamingo, Katakuri, Kaido etc.

my completely baseless speculation is that Imu will kidnap someone and that triggers the entire saga or attack on the WG and the next arc is a big fat war in the holy land

Him leaving Elbaf was so lame. And tbh if Wings are stuck fighting HKs logically Luffy fighting the commander of them makes sense but he unfortunately yeah as of now he seems to have no reason to return since Imus here

Closest thing I can imagine is WCI where oda introduced subplot after subplot to get Big Mom away from Luffy so he can fight Katakuri.

I don’t think it’s happening cause feels like Luffy vs Imu is inevitable if personally prefer shamrock tbh because it feels too early for Luffy to fight Imu but that’s where we’re heading tbh

I don't think it's likely, but it would make sense. If Imu beats the shit out of Loki, he could also injure Luffy. Then tag out and have Omen Shamrock pick off the remains. It's less of a personal risk that way, but that's probably too logical if anything.
