It should be "a swordsman whose clothes pattern is also used by Mihawk".
From chronological stand point (what we know until now), it is Mihawk who wears clothes that has same pattern as Rayleigh and not vice versa.
In a past not long ago. Rayleigh and his Dark King name, right hand name and everything was used to show how much special he is compared to other fist mates. But now... It's not valid anymore
Oda has already had characters state Roger is like Luffy and Gaban is like Sanji, but no one has ever said Rayleigh is like a certain SH. Are we still waiting for Luffy’s Rayleigh to join the crew?
it was actually said that Silver was Roger's right hand, and later wasn't it said that Zoro was Luffy's right hand and number two?
this means that there is at least an indirect connection between Zoro and Silver.
