Lol, Shanks showing up is higher possibility than this. We need to see Imu seeing Davy flashbacks similar to him seeing JB flashback at somepoint, the highest chance happening that is when Teach faces with Imu.

OK, crazy take. Imu will seal Luffy's power, and tell him die or became strongern and return his power. Imu wanted to fight Joy Boy, not the Larp Boy...so he doesn't have reason to finish off Luffy

Imo 1 of 3 things will happen if luffy is actually done from this stab
1. Imu will have a time limit that goes up just in time to save luffy. As imu apparently isn't supposed to be out of the holy land.

2. Someone will mess up the summoning circle which might force imu back.

3. Someone will come in and help luffy. Shanks is a good one or maybe rayleigh but Someone strong will step in and save luffy and let him recover.
