Didn’t Heisenberg at least manage to ensure that a few million of the money he made would go towards his family?
Kira didn’t just lose his life, all his hard work and dreams came crashing down before him and he had no one left to continue his mission of ridding the world of all criminals. If only he had somehow been caught and not Mikami too, at least he could have died knowing his legacy would continue. Not to mention that he got totally humiliated by being outsmarted by Near and Mello
