Gorosei are Imu's strongest subordinates, long as that remains the case, if Luffy fights Imu, Zoro and Sanji will fight the Gorosei.
It’s that simple.

Also this notion that Sanji & Zoro’s main arc opponents have to be worlds apart is a myth. We’ve quite literally had both fight opponents with a negligible difference of 10 doriki btw them on Enies Lobby which ironically enough was the last time the SHs went to war with the WG :risisweat:

In the end when it comes to major fights, Sanji will fight the opponent closer to Zoro's opponent, that's the rule

if Zoro is fighting with Shiryu, then Sanji is fighting the strongest opponent after Shiryu, be Pizarro/Burgess/Laffite, whatever.....
If Zoro fights an Gorosei(Nusjuro), Sanji will fight an Gorosei too.
If Zoro fights an Admiral, Sanji will fight with an Admiral too

Sanji’s EoS fights are, imo, a confirmed Blackbeard Pirate (I think Pizarro, but could be Lafitte or Burgess)
A Gorosei (Mars I think)

If they fight Admirals (I don’t think they will), then presumably Ryokugyu.

The thing that stands out is that he doesn’t have a Mihawk fight. It could be Croc (Zoro did fight Lucci)

Maybe Zoro vs Mihawk could happen at the same time as Sanji vs an Admiral, I dunno.

And in Elbaf, a potential Holy Knight (Sommers looking a thematic match) although we’ll need to wait to see how Elbaf develops for whether there will be full fights and if Sanji will get one (I think we’ll get a near full card of fights and more enemies are coming.

An admiral (probably GB to finally defeat a mosshead, since GB also has green hair)
A BBP crewmate (I'd want Laffite, but it's just me)
And a Gorosei (I also think that each Gorosei kinda has chunk of Imu's power, and to weaken Imu you need to beat them, and I am in favour of Sanji fighting Mars so that we finally have a proper aerial fight)

Wano - Zoro fought both kaidou and Bigmom and then King.
Egghead - Sanji had no Opponent or even if he did he lost lol.
Elbaf - Still going

That's just a copium to push Sanji where he isn't lmao. You all are gonna get a backlash again like Egghead missing Arm lol.

No gorosei has any connection to Sanji , On top of that we have characters like Law , Sabo , Coby to replace Sanji Instantly in gorosei fight.

You know Kaido and Big Mom weren't properly Zoro opponents, since he fought them alongside Luffy, Kidd, Law and Killer an then he got kicked out of the fight because Kaido was Luffy opponent, but yeah you're right he's opponent was King, just like Queen was Sanji's opponent.

In Egghead, yeah Sanji didn't got an Opponent because Egghead wasn't an major arc lol, but he got a lot of spotlight like facing Saturn, blocking Kizaru's laser and even kicking Nusjuro lol, while Zoro got his ultimate fight with Robert Gucci, but in compensation he clashed with Nusjuro.

Yeah, Elbaf is still on going, let's see what happens, but if Zoro get a major fight with one of the Holy Knights be Sommers or Quilligham, whatever....Sanji is fighting one of them too.

Again, when it comes to major fights, Zoro and Sanji fight the 1th Strongest and 2th Strongest SUBORDINATES!

Gorosei are weird because I like the idea that they exist similarly to BM’s role in Wano. They’re the secondary bosses that non SHs fight

Issue is Zoro will obviously fight Vnus, so Sanji will have to fight a gorosei as well. So with that in mind Mars is my top choice. It gives a more unique battle that a worm vs Sanji
