Whitebeard - decided to create a crew with nomads, or mostly his crew are characters that didnt have any parents, had a rough life, perhaps people called him a monster when he was a kid, just like when bigmom was a child or ace…
But Whitebeard greatest achievements was his territories probably his territories are just like fishemen island before he came and made it his territory, this islands was once invaded by lots of pirates, been solve as slaves, they have to pay a celestial tributes, endless wars from other countries think about all the worst sh%#t and Whitebeard probably twisted that and made it good. Whitebeard’s crew had a reason to live you know by simply protecting this people that part of their territory now a part of their family because whitebeard wants it and they have fully respect on it because thats what their good old man wants and this is part of their home
Thats why theres a reason why Ace had to be hella mad when Akainu trash talked Whitebeard but Whitebeard was actually a very veryyyy very very good hearted man.. he gave meaning to a lot of people, protection, they can sleep well at night, and he never ask something for return..

Roger - Back then the sea was rough. It wasnt as easy as on luffy’s time… back on Roger’s days, there’s no book to counter this types of crazy weathers, like huge drops of rain thats 50x bigger than a warship, lightnings, invinsible lands, etc etc. you have to face Captain Rocks, Bigmom, Kaido and Whitebeard on their younger days, Garp, Marines,etc etc etc. but Roger did conquer the grandline with all those in his way. Its crazy even today when i imagine how he did it. But most of all he started the great pirate era where people set sails to follow their crazy dreams.
