I would love it to be Makino and Shank's son, so it would be a full circle. Roger giving his hat to Shanks - Shanks giving the hat to Luffy - Luffy giving back the hat to the child because Shanks will be dead, therefore Luffy accomplishing his goal back in the first chapter.

He maybe a snotty brat but he got the potential and special abilities to be Luffy's successor as long as he doesn't grow back to his adult self at the End of Wano.

I'll rather him be the successor rather than it be Luffy's son or something.

That Main character's son successor ruined both Naruto & Dragon ball for me with the constant family successor stuff.

Don't even get me started with the forced name resemblance of the successors: Boruto/Naruto, Goku/Gohan...soon Luffy/Buffy?.....I'm sick just imagining that.

Do you think he will die in order to restore Luffy's lifespan? Or in order to save his life in one occasion?

I think the first option would make for the best plot. Nevertheless, I also think that Law's DF is just too important for the economy of the manga and so something crazy will indeed happen.
