Future Events Who will outlast who? (Not necessarily as the last antagonist)

I want BB, but the way each arc is structure kind lends itself to the idea that Imu will be the final villain. Arc villains are usually modeled after Imu in some way (Enel, Doffy, BM all take from Imu). I'd assume the same would be for BB once we get his arc, his powers or personality might be watered down version of Imu.

edit: also forgot to add why BB won't outlast Imu. Law already spelled out Blackbead's end, he will drown for his overreliance on DFs. His naming convention has ties to water, and we have yet to see a DF user die from drowning. Looks like Oda is saving it for an important character

I’m pretty sure the “sea god stormed” is just their way of talking about how the ocean rose and drowned multiple islands.

Imu feels too obvious so I don’t think it’s gonna go in that direction. Blackbeard has been more of an active looming threat in the series and the conflict is more personal with the main character.

If you mean who will live the longest, it's likely BB. Oda rarely kills villains and BB dying wouldn't benefit the story, he only needs to be defeated, whereas Imu has to be killed.

If you mean who is the final villain (which is how I interpreted the question in the poll), it's likely Imu.

I believe it is both. Part of the “sea god’s” power is channeled through the mermaid princess like the panel says, but Poseidon himself is an ethereal entity that represents the sea.

In the same way, the Devil is a separate entity that channels his power through Imu, the Forest God channels his power through the devil fruit tree, the Sun God Nika channels his power through Joyboy/Luffy etc.

@Blackbeard who asked me to make this thread. The question does make sense, you dont have to be the last antagonist to outlast the other in the story. I think BB will be redeemed.

Wow thats new, I dont think Oda is building up BB to be redeemed. But I can see why your question makes sense now. Would have still preferred to limit it to FV thing though.
