I personally think Itachi would win but some folks disagree when it comes to minato. when looking at the arsenal of attacks and abilities shown, itachi is by far superior than minato. Itachi has totsuka blade and Yata mirror which nobody talks about and not to forget the izanami and izanagi. Also Tsukuyomi the ultimate genjutsu, most ppl think that minato cannot be affected with tsukuyomi but they dont have a reson why. Also both the characters are some what similar their abilities are partially shown and their history is not very clear. what do you guys think?

Here's a detailed breakdown of each fighter's arsenal and abilities:

Itachi Uchiha's Arsenal:

1. Sharingan: Itachi's Sharingan allows him to predict movements, copy techniques, and cast powerful genjutsu.

2. Mangekyō Sharingan: This advanced form of the Sharingan grants Itachi access to several powerful techniques:

- Tsukuyomi: A powerful genjutsu that can manipulate the victim's perception of time, causing immense psychological trauma in a matter of seconds.

- Amaterasu: Black flames that can burn anything, including other flames, and are said to never extinguish until the target is completely incinerated.

- Susanoo: A gigantic, humanoid avatar that provides both offensive and defensive capabilities. Itachi's Susanoo wields the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror.

- Totsuka Blade: A spiritual sword that can seal anything it pierces into a genjutsu-like state for eternity.

- Yata Mirror: A shield that can deflect any attack, making Itachi nearly invincible while using Susanoo.

3. Izanami: A genjutsu that traps the target in an infinite loop of events until they accept their fate, effectively neutralizing them.

4. Izanagi: A technique that can alter reality, allowing the user to escape death or any unfavorable situation at the cost of losing the use of one Sharingan.

5. Fire Release Techniques: Itachi is proficient in various fire-based jutsu, including the Great Fireball Technique and Phoenix Sage Fire Technique.

6. Crow Clone Technique: Itachi can create clones made of crows, which can disperse and reform, making it difficult for opponents to land a hit.

7. Genjutsu Mastery: Itachi is a master of genjutsu, capable of casting illusions with just a glance or a finger point, making it hard for opponents to distinguish reality from illusion.

8. Intelligence and Tactical Skills: Itachi is highly intelligent and a master strategist, often outsmarting his opponents with careful planning and quick thinking.

Minato Namikaze's Arsenal:

1. Flying Thunder God Technique: Minato's signature technique allows him to teleport to any location marked with his special seal, giving him unparalleled speed and mobility.

2. Rasengan: A powerful, spinning sphere of chakra that can cause significant damage upon impact. Minato is the creator of this technique.

3. Sage Mode: Minato can enter Sage Mode, enhancing his physical abilities and sensory perception, allowing him to detect and react to threats more effectively.

4. Sealing Techniques: Minato is proficient in various sealing jutsu, including the Reaper Death Seal, which can seal away an opponent's soul at the cost of the user's life.

5. Barrier Techniques: Minato can create barriers to protect himself and others from attacks, as well as to trap opponents.

6. Summoning Technique: Minato can summon toads from Mount Myōboku to aid him in battle, including the powerful toad Gamabunta.

7. Intelligence and Tactical Skills: Minato is known as the "Yellow Flash" due to his incredible speed and strategic mind. He is a master tactician, often devising plans to outmaneuver his opponents.

I think either Minato wins, or the match ends in a draw. Itachi's diverse abilities, including his powerful genjutsu, Susanoo, and various other techniques, give him the edge in this matchup, however Minato’s speed and teleportation abilities give him a significant edge in mobility. His strategic mind and versatility with techniques like the Rasengan and Sage Mode make him a formidable opponent.

Minato could win if he starts in Sage Mode and never opens his eyes which is feasible considering Sage Mode allowed Madara to neg EMS Sasuke with no eyes, but more often than not, Minato gets fodderized by Tsukuyomi.

I think talent wise Itachi outclasses Minato by far. He was what when he reached jonin rank, like 6?

Feat wise, Itachi outclasses him as well.

But here's the thing. Without am EMS his chakra levels and eyes wear out pretty quickly. Especially against someone who has access to sage chakra and its kuchiyose minions.

Minato probably wins this in case he avoids Tsukiyomi. But even if not, his toads would help breaking him free.

Close match. They'd make an extremely dangerous team if combined. Give Itachi an EMS and add Kakashi in the team and they'd take out nations.

I don't see how Minato would effectively deal with all the genjutsu Itachi can dish.

I think Itachi would win the battle mid diff. Itachi's diverse abilities, including his powerful genjutsu, Susanoo, and various other techniques, give him the edge in this matchup. Itachi's arsenal provides both offensive and defensive capabilities that are hard to counter, making him the likely winner.
You forgot about Itachi's water release techniques and incredible skill with Kunais, Shurikens and Swords.

I think healthy Itachi with DMS and All Susanoo powers holds a candle.
Other than that minato clears.
But even with Susanoo, Itachi is slow...
Susanoo take ton of chakra, he can´t use it forever.
Minato in case can teleport to dodge every move by coming from Itachi.

And I doubt Itachi is going to react to Minato speed, even Obito and Raikage failed to do.
Base Minato vs Itachi would be a high diff battle.
Bijuu Mode Minato low diffs at worst.
