These two videos explain why Luffy is a great leader...in addition
Luffy is a great leader because he made people follow him and wanted to help him even without requesting and even great person like WB asked his crew to give a way for Luffy in MF....
Mihawk himself said the Luffy's greatest and dangerous trait which is of leadership.....
empathy:
No need to say specially about this....
when Nami betrayed them, Zoro said to leave her alone to which Luffy insisted in getting her as his navigator and even when Nami said she cheated them....and simply entrusting his hat shows his trust on Nami
By asking Usopp shooting the government flag in case of Robin etc.
Conviction: No need to say specially about it....
Levelheaded when needed like not losing his calm even when Pedro is dead/taking Katakuri out of crew's way/boosting their morale even when he was helpless against Katakuri/knowing the key point to every problem like saying taking out Moria, Crocodile, Lucci would solve all the problems/not throwing tantrums when Jimbei said he stays back in WCI/allying with Bege to assassinate BigMom etc.
There are many other things that have been covered in video.....
Yeah Luffy has his flaws and that is why he accepts other people suggestions and bow down for the people who saved him like the case of Margaret etc
after all every leader and king in real life also has strategists and advisors who can give correct advises from time to time....
Luffy has immense charisma and risk taking ability and that is what it separates him from his other crew members and that is why he is captain....
You can't deny the fact that if not for his many decisions and sometimes his stupidity, SH won't be where they are now...
“One of the most important things for any leader is to never let anyone else define who you are. And you define who you are.– Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM

“True leadership stems from individuality that is honestly and sometimes imperfectly expressed… Leaders should strive for authenticity over perfection.” –
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook
“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” – Chuck Swindoll, Christian pastor and radio preacher
“Leadership is a matter of having people look at you and gain confidence, seeing how you react. If you’re in control, they’re in control.” – Tom Landry, former Dallas Cowboys coach
“The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.” – Ronald Reagan, former U.S. President
“A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be.” – Rosalynn Carter
“The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.” – Jim Rohn
Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It's about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your goal, and you have to inspire team-mates.
Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter.
